Defence Transition
Are you currently a member of the Australian Defence Force (ADF) who is transitioning or has transitioned into civilian life? Are you seeking career options? Look no further!
NEM Group, in partnership with The Townsville Manufacturing Hub, the Defence Industry Hub, and TAFE Queensland, has joined forces to provide a tailored manufacturing training program exclusively for ADF personnel. This program aims to facilitate a smooth transition into civilian employment within the manufacturing industry. To be a successful applicant, you will need to possess the following depending on the role:-
- Trade Certificate (Boilermaker or Fitter)
- Boilermakers – Ability to pass a weld test in our Townsville workshop
- White Card, equivalent or willing to obtain
- Current Working at Heights and Confined space is an advantage
- High Risk Work License is advantageous
- Prioritises safety
- Has attention to detail
- Punctual and reliable
- Flexible work rosters are available.
You may be required to undergo a Medical, Drug & Alcohol test.
